Requested Information
Pursuant to the Maryland Public Information Act, I am requesting electronic copies of records related to the current Howard County Public School System contract for high school boys’ and girls’ basketball officiating/referee services, including the contract associated with Bid #004.23.B4, Winter Athletic Sports Referee Officials Services.
Specifically, I request:
1. The current contract for basketball officiating services, including all renewals, extensions, amendments, modifications, and current pricing/rate schedules.
2. The current contract expiration date and any remaining renewal or extension options.
3. The current rates/fees paid for basketball officiating services, including varsity, junior varsity, and any other basketball levels covered by the contract.
4. The total amount paid for basketball officiating services during the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years, if readily available.
5. The number of boys’ and girls’ basketball games/contests serviced under the contract during the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years, if readily available.
6. The current scope of work and requirements applicable to a basketball officiating contractor, including insurance, certification, staffing, training, assigning, and other vendor qualification requirements.
7. Any available records identifying the anticipated expiration, rebid, or successor solicitation date for basketball officiating services.
