Requested Information
I request a grade level (Elementary, Middle, High) report of sexual assaults occurring on HCPSS property and on contracted HCPSS school buses for the years 2008 - 2018 as reported to MSDE and those not reported to MSDE. I realize that sexual assaults are not publicly announced for the victims safety, so to be clear I am requesting a list of the numbers of incidences only - not including any personally identifiable information.

Responsive to this request, available data can be found under MPIA 2018-454 related to student on student and staff on staff allegations of sexual discrimination reported under HCPSS Policy 1020 Sexual Discrimination. Additionally, sexual harassment of a student may also constitute child abuse and such cases are reported in accordance with Policy 1030 Child Abuse and Neglect.” Allegations reported under this policy are presented annually to the Board of Education with the 2017-2018 school year report presented November 1, 2018:
