In the superintendent’s statement of April 16, 2020, he indicated that the redistricting resulted in a “contract for relocatable” and that a contractor was hired to assess sites. I’m inquiring into how many relocatables are needed as a result of the redistricting; 2) which schools they are going; 3) the cost of the relocatables that has already been spent; 4) the total costs of the construction and site assessments; 5) whether any additional funds will be needed to utilize the new relocatables; and 6) at which Board of Education meeting were these costs indicated as a cost of the 2020-2021 school redistricting.

Responsive to this request, the following publically available records contain information on relocatable costs for the coming school year. Staff indicates relocatable costs for SY21 are those contained in the April 7 Bids and Contracts report - under PC-25 totaling $925,855. No amount had been spent on relocatables for SY21 prior to this award. For your request regarding identification of those relocatables needed because of redistricting, staff indicates the relocatable placement recommendations were based on several variables including enrollment projections and capacity utilization. Attachment 1 in the March 26 Board report gives staff justification for each of the placements. While the recommendation from the relocatable report was based on the new boundaries as approved by the Board, their records do not specifically cite "because of redistricting" to identify costs is such a way.
