Responsive to this request, HCPSS Maintenance staff does not maintain a list or counts of toilets and urinals by school, and more specifically, those accessible without entering a classroom. Please note, under the MPIA process, and as advised in the Fifteenth Edition of the Maryland Public Information Act Manual created by Maryland’s Office of the Attorney General, an agency is only obligated to produce existing records and is not required to generate new data or summarize data. For reference, staff indicates facilities are constructed in accordance with building codes at the time of design/construction, which drives the number of toilets and urinals that are installed in schools.
