As advised in the Seventeenth Edition of the Maryland Public Information Act Manual created by Maryland’s Office of the Attorney General, the personnel records exemption identifies the type of documents that are covered as “applications, performance ratings, and scholastic achievement information” and includes records “relating to hiring, discipline, promotion, dismissal, or any other matter involving an employee’s status.” For reference, we have provided below the current job description for the Student Records Specialist position.
