Responsive Documents
Responsive to this request, and per clarification you are “interested in the contracts where the central service is an AI program or service. We are not interested in any contracts where a company may just use AI in addition to their typical services,” we have identified one product – Glint - a tool being piloted (one time purchase) by educators to build visual-based instructional materials in special education. Please find attached the related purchasing records. Under both MPIA GP § 4-311, which prevents disclosure of personnel records of an individual, and MPIA GP § 4-330, which prevents disclosure of sociological information, we have redacted employee identification numbers in the PO. Under MPIA GP § 4-338, which requires a custodian to deny inspection of information about the security of an information system, we have redacted the login and invoice number within the invoice where the vendor indicates publishing creates a payment-fraud and account-security risk. Under MPIA GP § 4-335, which prevents disclosure of confidential commercial or financial information furnished by an outside unit, unique line-item pricing and related units beyond the total amount has been redacted within both the invoice and the PO as the vendor has identified them as confidential due to the potential to cause harm to their competitive position.
