Requested Information
Any and all records regarding the number of students referred to a Central Education Placement Team (CEPT) by school teams since 2023-2024 school year and the time it takes for them to be placed in a private separate day school, a residential placement, or another more restrictive placement including homebound.
This includes but is not limited to the amount of time students await the CEPT meeting and then the actual placement in a private, separate day school placement.
This includes but is not limited to the number of students who receive home and hospital teaching and/or interim alternative educational services while awaiting a private, separate day school placement.
This includes, but is not limited to reports, spreadsheets, compliance data, any records submitted to the Maryland State Department of Education, internal memorandums, cost sheets, cost savings reports, number of days while students await a placement, interim placements for students while awaiting placement, guidance provided to school teams, guidance documents prepared by the department of special education staff regarding any and all part of the CEPT process.
