Responsive to this request, as noted in the HCPSS Student Handbook the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment, 20 U.S.C § 1232h refers to the protection of student privacy in the collection, disclosure, or use of personal information for marketing, sales or other distribution, in the administration of any protected information survey, and any non-emergency invasive physical examination or screening. It also relates to parental notification for any such planned activities and surveys, as well as the opportunity to opt out of such activities and surveys, and/or review surveys. HCPSS curriculum staff indicates no such surveys, exams, or screenings are used as part of the Health Education curriculum or teacher training materials for health courses. Per clarification that by Health Education A and B you are referring to health classes at the high school level, beyond the records provided below, additional clarification would be needed to continue request.
