Under the Maryland Public Information Act, we formally request that your office provide us with public spending information, including both capital and operating expenditures, for payments made by or on behalf of the Howard County Public School System during fiscal year ending 2023. Specifically, for any payee, other than an employee or student, who was paid a cumulative total amount of $10,000 or more, we seek the payee name, address, and the cumulative total dollar amount paid to the subject payee over the relevant time period.

Responsive to this request, please find attached the same report we provided for FY2021 to include a list of all suppliers that rendered services or goods totaling $10,000 or more in FY2023 along with the supplier zip code. Payees excluded from this list include those whose release fall under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), which restricts access to student records, and MPIA GP ยง 4-313, which prevents disclosure of school district records pertaining to individual students.
