I am requesting, in electronic format, all correspondence with anyone in the HCPSS (to include the superintendent) regarding the placement of polygon 2136 (aka Merriweather, aka Howard Hughes property, aka Downtown development, aka crescent).

Responsive to this request, staff involved in the development of the Superintendent’s plan have indicated there are no records/correspondence advocating for the move of polygon 2136. Per the Superintendent’s presentation to the Board on October 3, 2017, he was specifically looking for moves that met his goals at the elementary level to include relieving overcrowding with the opening of Elementary School #42 and balancing capacity utilization and projected enrollment across elementary schools in the Columbia area. For reference, although not advocating for the move, the correspondence below between the superintendent and the Board further explains the rationale.
