Pursuant to the Maryland Public Information Act (General Provisions Article ยงยง 4-101 to 4-601), I am requesting access to and copies of public records related to student-on-staff physical incidents.
Specifically, I am requesting data for the following:
The total number of reported physical injuries sustained by staff members caused by students, broken down by individual middle school and by school year, for the period of August 1, 2021, through June 30, 2025.
This request includes all reported incidents regardless of whether medical treatment was sought, as documented in school incident reports, staff injury reports, or health room logs.
For each school year and middle school, please provide the data in a searchable and analyzable electronic format (e.g., Excel or CSV).
Privacy and Redaction:
I am not requesting any personally identifiable information (PII) regarding students or staff to ensure compliance with FERPA and other privacy laws.
