Requested Information
Number of High School Students on Home and Hospital for Anxiety/Depression/Mental Health for 2017/18, 2016/17, 2015/16, 2014/15, 2013/14 school years at each high school, including hours per week (2 or 6), weeks per year, and location (home, public library, school). Total number of students attending each high school for the past 5 years and percentage of students on H&H for the past 5 years.

Please note, total number of students enrolled by school can be found on the HCPSS website: http://www.hcpss.org/schools/enrollment-reports/.
No existing student data reports include all specific locations of home or hospital visits (aside from Cedar Lane, Homewood or Hospital contained in the annual Home and Hospital data reports) or the hours per week/year. While total hours worked by home and hospital staff could be gleaned from payroll data, it would require creation of a new record through collection and analysis of each individual’s schedule. Under the MPIA process, and as advised in the Fourteenth Edition of the Maryland Public Information Act Manual created by Maryland’s Office of the Attorney General, an agency is only obligated to produce existing records and is not required to generate new data or summarize data.

Please note, for the current school year (2017 in the attached) the data is counts through the print date of the report. HCPSS has made substantial efforts to ensure the accuracy of this information; however, data collection and reporting is consistently subject to change. Please be mindful when comparing data as many variances can occur between reports based on date pulled, parameters used, categories included, etc.

Please note, for the current school year the data is counts through the print date of the report.
