I’m requesting the number of students placed in a non-public school. How many of the non-public placements were placed back in the Emotional Disability regional program? How many of the non-public were placed back in the home school. I’m requesting this data for the past 5 years.

In addition to data regarding number of nonpublic placements previously released under MPIA 2019-088, please find attached a chart containing destinations for those returning from nonpublic placements since SY15. Under both the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), which restricts access to student records, and MPIA GP § 4-313, which prevents disclosure of school district records pertaining to individual students, we have redacted identifying information regarding these students.

*Some request language is summarized to include the requester's specific document requests and legally protected information (such as personally identifiable information of a student) or personal, defamatory and malicious content removed at the discretion of the school system.

**Responses containing legally protected information available only to the person of interest are omitted from the above report.
