Pursuant to the Maryland Public Information Act, I respectfully request a list of all escheated funds which the Board of Education for your county/city has received from probate cases that were deposited into your registry from June 15, 2018 to July 25, 2018.

Deposit record containing information related to escheat funds received from a probate case by HCPSS during the timeframe requested. Under MPIA GP § 4-336, which prevents disclosure of portions of a record that contains information about the finances of an individual including assets and financial history or activities, we have redacted the name of the estate. Additionally, under MPIA GP § 4-311, which prevents disclosure of personnel records of an individual, employee identification numbers have been redacted. UPDATED RESPONSE 8/22/18: Following a re-examination of the applicability of the MPIA to this particular information received pursuant to Estates and Trusts Article §3-105, we are releasing this information with the name of the estate unredacted. Employee identification numbers continue to be redacted under MPIA GP § 4-311, which prevents disclosure of personnel records of an individual.
