Responsive to this request, while no existing documents contain the frequency of use and trainings within HCPSS, the Curriculum Office indicates Reading Recovery has been used in 16 elementary schools for the past five years, and is typically used 30 minutes for five days. Reading Recovery training is offered if a new teacher needs to be added for staffing purposes, with professional learning sessions offered for trained Reading Recovery teachers six times a year.
