Pursuant to the Maryland Public Information Act, I would like to inspect any public records in your custody pertaining to summary information regarding teacher evaluations (e.g., highly effective, effective, etc.) by high school for all HCPSS comprehensive high schools for the last year for which data are available. For the purpose of clarity, I am looking for summary information by school and not information that is identifiable to individual teachers. Thank you.

Data on teacher effectiveness ratings (highly effective, effective, etc) by comprehensive HCPSS high schools for 2017-2018 school year. Please note, this information is collected annually for reporting to the Maryland State Department of Education – as such we have attached a key for those codes used by MSDE in the collection of this data. This collection is only for the classification of teacher – not including support professionals such as counselors, psychologists, therapists, etc. For reference, the most recent published data by MSDE was in July 2017 and can be found here: http://marylandpublicschools.org/stateboard/Documents/07182017/TabG-TPE.pdf. Additionally, for reference, we have provided the HCPSS Framework for Teacher Evaluation, which lays out the model by which classroom teachers are evaluated.
