For the all of the mean test scores in this report, I request that I be provided with standard deviations of the estimates, and when doing so would not violate confidentiality, the number of students on which each estimate is based. If the exact number cannot be released, I request information on whether that count is 1-24, 25-50, 51-99, 100-200 or more than 200.

Responsive to this request, and per clarification that the report indicated pertains to student performance on SAT and ACT, the N count can be found in the Test Participation tables found above the Performance tables in the appendix of the annual SAT & ACT Participation, Performance, and Three-Year Trends report. No available report, however, contains the standard deviation for such test scores. Please note, under the MPIA process, and as advised in the Fourteenth Edition of the Maryland Public Information Act Manual created by Maryland’s Office of the Attorney General, an agency is only obligated to produce existing records and is not required to generate new data or summarize data.
