Requested Information
I request to study and review the Social Studies/Government curriculum of K through 12 of the Howard County School District. To include syllabus, books, worksheets and any other materials that may be required by teachers or standardized curriculum of the Howard County Public School System. Any and all educational requirements or adopted policies of the study of our Government, local, state and national to include but not limited to: The teaching of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, the Founding Fathers and Founding heroes and figures of this country; the philosophical teaching of Democracy as based in the Constitution; the Historical Textbooks and assignments from the early settlers to modern day to includes the Revolution and all subsequent wars and conflicts; any and all books and curriculum related to social movements in this country to include materials that are not approved or sanctioned by the school district but may be taught on a individual basis by teachers. Basically...any and all materials involved in teaching the founding and ongoing workings of our civil and governmental society.

These can be navigated by grade and topic, and will include expectations for learning, standards for all core classes, graduation requirements, and brief summaries of electives taught.
