Response Notes

Responsive to this request, please find the following records attached:

  • Unit Ventilator Outdoor Air Damper Confirmation Worksheet. In February 2021, proper operation of the outdoor air dampers in all unit ventilators serving the classrooms on the third floor of Long Reach High School was confirmed as shown in this attachment.
  • Exhaust Fan Confirmation Worksheet. In October 2020 and February 2021, proper operation of all exhaust fans at Long Reach High School was confirmed as shown in this attachment.
  • Long Reach HS - Air Filter and Belt Inventory. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the HCPSS replaced the air filters in all heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) units with air filters having a minimum efficiency reporting value (MERV) rating of MERV 13 where possible. A complete listing of MERV 13 air filters at Long Reach HS is shown in this attachment.

The HCPSS did not perform air change calculations for each classroom on the third floor of Long Reach High School, therefore no responsive records exist. Please note, under the MPIA process, and as advised in the Fourteenth Edition of the Maryland Public Information Act Manual created by Maryland’s Office of the Attorney General, an agency is only obligated to produce existing records and is not required to generate new data or summarize data.
