Under the Maryland Public Information Act Title 4, I am requesting an opportunity to obtain electronic copies of public records that delineate historical school attendance zone boundaries for Howard County Public Schools. These are the boundaries that determine which specific schools a student attends based on where they live within the school district. I have found current versions of these maps online at https://www.hcpss.org/school-planning/, and I'm interested in versions of these maps as they existed in years past. Specifically, I request any available copies of maps or descriptions of elementary, middle, and high school attendance zone boundaries from the 1999-2000 and 1989-1990 school years, or the years closest to those years if those specific years are unavailable. I request these records in any format in which they are available (e.g. GIS shapefile, PDF, JPG, text description of boundaries, spreadsheet linking street names to schools, etc). If records are available, please label files with the dates in years that they were in effect.
