Responsive to this request, available data on state standardized test scores, calculated by the Maryland State Department of Education and reported publicly through the Maryland Report Card, can be viewed by school or by district. Please find attached MAP G3&4 and CogAT G3 data for SY21-23. For CogAT data, test scores between 90 and 99 are considered eligible, between 80 and 89 are considered approaching, and 79 or below are considered not approaching. Reported data reflects Math given it is the only year-long Gifted and Talented (G/T) class at the elementary level and thus applicable to grade 3. Please note, the HCPSS G/T Education Program does not use a single "benchmark" for G/T placement but rather uses multiple measures, including other assessments and class performance, as indicators of readiness for advanced programming. Therefore, additional students are placed in G/T Math beyond the students meeting this "benchmark." HCPSS has made substantial efforts to ensure the accuracy of this information; however, data collection and reporting is consistently subject to change. Please be mindful when comparing data as many variances can occur between reports based on date pulled, parameters used, categories included, etc.
