Dear HCPSS MPIA office,
I am writing to request a copy of any e-mails to and from board chair Jennifer Mallo that directly reference the word "equity" from 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 5th until 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 7th. There have been concerns raised that the term equity is not being implemented correctly as related to budget decisions and the public would like to know if Budget Choice D was vetted through the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Office prior to its proposal at the 4:00 PM meeting on March 7th.

● Under MPIA GP § 4-330, we have redacted sociological information where it contained a personal email address, personal address, personal phone number, information about an individual’s personal history and family, and/or has the potential to pose a risk to individual safety or privacy.
● Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), which restricts access to student records, and MPIA GP § 4-313, which prevents disclosure of school district records pertaining to individual students, we have redacted information regarding individual students.
Please note, further review would be needed to determine releasability of all attachments, links and/or external records noted within the responsive email content itself.
