Under Md. General Provisions Code Ann. Secs. 4-101 to 4-601, I am requesting the following documents about book challenges and removals from your school district:

Written policies, regulations, guidelines or other governing documents relating to student gender identity and the treatment of transgender students in your school system. These policy, regulations and guidelines may relate to (but not be limited to):
- Transgender students or students who identify as a gender other than the one they were born with or use a name other than the name on their birth certificate.
- The use of restrooms and locker rooms, use of names and pronouns, participation in athletics and participation in extracurricular activities based on self-identified gender.
- Dress codes, gender-based activities, gender-separated areas, physical education classes and intramural sports and school clubs.
- Discrimination, bullying, harassment and threat assessments.
- Permanent school records, privacy and disclosure of information based on self-identified gender.
- Mandatory parental reporting based on self-identified gender.

I am requesting policies currently in effect and relating to the current and / or future school years (2023/2024 and beyond).
