Responsive to this request, and per clarification you are looking for data as previously requested for staff injuries and student attacks under MPIA 2025-045 and MPIA 2025-046, but for the timeframe of January 1, 2025, through March 13, 2025, please find attached/reported below the following information:
- In regard to students injuries, no data indicates the total number of students assaulted (victims) given one incident may involve more than one victim. Existing data on counts of student conduct violations for “attack on student” at TRES similar to MPIA 2025-046, however, for the timeframe requested total three (3).
- In regard to staff injuries, worker’s compensation data on TRES staff who sought medical treatment (regardless of location where treatment was sought) for incidents that involved students similar to MPIA 2025-045 for the timeframe requested total four (4).
Responsive to your additional request for incident reporting forms produced by TRES on 2/27/25 or 2/28/25, no reporting forms beyond those that would be encompassed in your request above for workers’ compensation records exist. Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), which restricts access to student records, and MPIA GP § 4-313, which prevents disclosure of school district records pertaining to individual students, as well as both under MPIA GP § 4-311, which prevents disclosure of personnel records of an individual, and MPIA GP § 4-329 (b), which prevents disclosure of medical or psychological information about an individual person, we are unable to disclose further details regarding the cause, nature and extent of injuries. Given the small number of incidents in a short period of time, these details have the potential to be connected to identifiable students and staff within the school.
