Requesting all emails to or from Brian Bassett that contain the terms 504 or IEP between November 11, 2019 and December 12, 2019, inclusive of start and end dates.

Responsive to this request, attached are those emails resulting from a search of the @hcpss mailbox for Mr. Bassett between the date range indicated where the keywords “IEP” or “504” were included. Exemptions found within these records include:
• Under MPIA GP § 4-330, we have redacted sociological information where it contains personal phone numbers, contact information and/or has the potential to pose a risk to individual safety or privacy.
• Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), which restricts access to student records, and MPIA GP § 4-313, which prevents disclosure of school district records pertaining to individual students, we have redacted information that could reveal individual student information from the responsive records including four emails withheld in their entirety as individual student incident reports. In addition, HCPSS follows the Maryland State Department of Education and the National Center for Education Statistics’ guidelines for protecting student privacy in public reporting and as such has suppressed data referenced where populations fall below 10.
