This file contains various training materials and resources developed in 2018-2019 for staff and templates currently used in the development of individual student emergency plans. Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), which restricts access to student records, and MPIA GP § 4-313, which prevents disclosure of school district records pertaining to individual students, we have redacted student names used in the responsive records.
This file contains the most recent guidance provided to administrators related to emergency drills for students with 504/IEP, MedSled Evacuation Train-the-Trainer logs, a MedSled checklist provided to staff during this training. Please note, additional staff within individual schools beyond those reflected here would receive training as a train-the-trainer model. Under MPIA GP § 4-329 (b), which prevents disclosure of medical or psychological information about an individual person, we have made one redaction within the training logs. An additional record - an instructional video available to all HCPSS staff on the use of MedSled - can be available via disk due to the file size.

*Some request language is summarized to include the requester's specific document requests and legally protected information (such as personally identifiable information of a student) or personal, defamatory and malicious content removed at the discretion of the school system.

**Responses containing legally protected information available only to the person of interest are omitted from the above report.
