Response Notes
Responsive to this request, public release and/or access to copies of HCPSS records, as well as denials of such records, would be in accordance with the Maryland Public Information Act, Annotated Code of Maryland, General Provisions Article (GP) §4-101, and the HCPSS Rules for Processing: https://mpia.hcpss.org/rules. Beyond the records provided below, additional clarification would be needed to continue request.
Please note, we have redacted links to referenced content as your request seeks records which “indicate” the student resources and not the resources themselves.
For reference, the record indicating the addition of these materials can be found on page 3 of this 2011 report to the Board of Education:
o American Journey-Early Years
o History Alive! The United States Through Industrialism
This regulation outlines existing requirements for opportunities to provide parent/guardian review of instructional materials to be used in Health/Sexuality Education.
